Boat tours of the lake: in a type of boat typical to the region, which used to be used for freight and passenger transport and which was the only way to access the Island of El Palmar.
Currently this type of boat is used for tourism. Depending on the season of the year in which the visit takes place, you can see different kinds of fowl and an active fishing industry.
The route that we take is about 9 km long, and lasts approximately 1 hour. Our craft are equipped with teaching materials in different languages and binoculars. At your request, the skipper can provide you with complete information about your surroundings during the tour.
Visit to a Valencian “Barraca”: Visit the inside of one of these old houses, typical in this area, and you can get an idea of how our ancestors lived. During the visit, and at the client’s request, full information can be provided regarding these primitive dwellings.

g. Guided tour of the Island of El Palmar: From Monday to Friday, except holidays. A simple but interesting tour during which you will be able to see the remaining traditional houses (called “barracas”), the rice fields that still surround the island, and the workshop of a shipwright (providing he has a boat under construction). You may be able to visit the
Community of Fishermen’s fish market, depending on its availability.

Demonstration of fishing methods: This activity is held from October to February, and
includes the “calá” and trap-net methods. If your visit is to take place during these months, and
you request a demonstration of the fishing methods, your tour will last an extra 30 minutes and
